    That chorus “God is still on the throne, and He will remember His own…”
    warmed my heart this morning as I recall it being sung in an old mission hall when I was much younger. Somehow I could still here their voices blend together as they sang – many of those souls who have long since gone to be with the Lord. It is wonderful to know that His loving arms are around us (as Christians) even when personal heavy burdens, such as serious health problems come our way. Thank you for the post.

      Thanks for the remembrances. I was familiar with the chorus, long before I knew there were verses too. At our church, I sometimes use the chorus at the beginning of the Praise and Prayer Time, in our Sunday morning service. A couple of weeks ago, we sang “Got Any Rivers,” and segued directly into “God Is Still on the Throne,” in the same key. The first chorus says:

      Got any rivers you think are uncrossable?
      Got any mountains you can’t tunnel through?
      God specializes in things thought impossible;
      He does the things others cannot do.

    I’ve been looking everywhere for the sheet music for “God is still on the throne” Can anybody help me? I found chords but, it’s such a pretty song it needs the original sheet music to do it it’s due justice.

      You’ll find the song on the Cyber Hymnal, here. And you can also click on the Adobe link and print a copy of the music. The song is also found in the Living Hymns hymnal, if you have a copy handy. God bless.
